Anchorite

Anchorite was a metallic material noted for its inherent resistance to Drift pressure. It was essential to the construction of seamships, as only anchorite plating was able to withstand the Drift sufficiently to maintain a stable reality bubble inside a seamship.

The need for anchorite, and its relative rarity across the Multiverse, led the various factions to begin colonising less developed realities to establish ore mining concerns.
