Cloud Archipelago

The Cloud Archipelago was a huge driftstation built around a cluster of silicate rubble reclaimed from collapsing realities. Founded by Drift merchants seeking a neutral ground for commerce and travel, the Cloud Archipelago was perhaps the most prominent trade hub outside of Guild-controlled Drift. It played a major role in the Great Drift War and subsequently developed into the Archipelago Empire, with the driftstation becoming the Empire's political and economic centre, the Spire.

By the time of the Stationary Traveller's departure from Auremelion, the Drift merchant Kyrie had risen to de facto leadership of the Cloud Archipelago, through her immense wealth and influence garnered from a highly successful career in the arms trade.
